Great tour for those who want to walk along easy and undemanding
paths and sail on a Zodiac along the Beagle Channel.
Between 9 and 9:30 AM we pick you up at the hotel and take
National Road Nş 3 westwards. We arrive to the National Park,
and after we pay the entrance fee (included), we go to the
coastal path. This 4 and a half mile path (7 kilometer) 3
hours trek is doubtlessly the most beautiful in the Park with
lots of vegetation (High Deciduous Beech, Low Deciduous Beech,
Evergreen Beech, Winters bark, Fire bush, etc.).
We then board an 18 people Zodiac boat and head to a beautiful
bay called Ensenada. We navigate along the Beagle Channel
to the Redonda Island and have a view of Rocky Cormorants
that nest in a rocky wall of the island. We disembark on the
island and have lunch in a refuge, enjoying one of the best
views of this landscape. Lunch is usually home-made pasta
and drinks; included are red wine, sodas and mineral water.
After lunch you have some free time to walk around the
island. This island is a natural reserve and it has only been
opened for tourists a couple of years ago. There are two paths
to walk, 20 minutes each.
We will then head to Lapataia Bay and along this trip we
will see some of the most beautiful seabirds of the Argentinean
South (Albatrosses, Petrels, Snowy Sheath Bills and maybe
also Penguins). We arrive to Lapataia Bay, the end of the
famous Panamerican Road at the Ends of the Earth, pure beauty.
Here we will take our van to go back to Ushuaia, where we´ll
arrive at around 4:30 PM.
